‘UNBREAKABLE’ HAMMERGLASS NOW OFFERED EXCLUSIVELY IN THE UK

Fed up with replacing another window in your business smashed by vandals?

ATB Secure, specialists in enhanced security commercial aluminium windows and doors is now offering customers the chance to specify Hammerglass, the unique ‘new generation’ polycarbonate sheet, 300 times stronger than glass and almost unbreakable, in its complete range of products.

Available in 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 15, 17 and 20 mm sheets, Hammerglass is recognised and licenced by Secured by Design and certified according to BS EN 356, Security Class P8B, which is equivalent to the highest safety rating for anti-burglary grilles and rolling shutters.

To obtain this classification the glass must withstand 70 blows with an axe. In the case of Hammerglass, the Swedish National Testing and Research Institute gave up the test after 72 blows and then had to use a forklift truck twice to pull the axe out of the glass!

With its unique surface coating of silicon oxide (just like a layer of glass) Hammerglass sheets are resistant to most chemicals and acids and are scratch resistant. The coating also provides a UV protection of 99.96% so that the glass will not become cloudy, bleached or age over time.

Hammerglass makes an aesthetically pleasing alternative to security grills and long term provides savings in places like petrol stations, shops, restaurants, schools where windows are often broken by burglars or vandals.
