ASSA ABLOY Celebrates Award Winning WatchLock™ Success

ASSA ABLOY is still celebrating after the newly launched WatchLock™ intelligent high security padlock won Physical Security Product of the Year at this year’s IFSEC Security Industry Awards back in May.

The award winning WatchLock™ combines a high security padlock, GPS locating system and SIM card based communication technologies to provide real time event and location information through email, text message or web based application.

The IFSEC Security awards, run in association with the British Security Industry Association (BSIA), were presented at a gala ceremony during the week of IFSEC and recognise products and technological advancements that have played a major part in the security industry.

The Physical Security Product of the Year category showcased the very highest quality physical security products that prevented or deterred access, with entries including locks, fencing, barriers and grilles. The judges thought WatchLock™ was a very useful and innovative enhancement to a traditional padlock, representing a genuine upgrade and suitable for a large number of applications.
