Following on from the launch of the SeceuroSense system SWS UK have found it necessary to make some important changes when using the SeceuroSense system with a battery back up.
Any SeceuroGlide Garage Door fitted with the SeceuroSense system with a guide height of 2500mm or less using a battery back up must also be fitted with a box lid this enables the remote controls anti entrapment feature to be switched off.
Doors above 2500mm will not require a box lid but the anti entrapment feature will still need to be switched off to allow the battery back up to operate.
If the above instance applies to a new or existing door a box lid is mandatory to comply with the Construction Product Directive. The new 45 degree box cover or full box are both acceptable solutions to ensure compliance with the directive. This is only applicable when a battery back up is fitted.
