Origin Launches First National Television Advert

Origin, the UK’s leading manufacturer of bespoke aluminium bi-folding, sliding and front doors and windows, is launching its first ever prime-time television advert, set to premiere on ITV during Coronation Street on Monday 2nd September.

The national TV campaign, which focuses on The Origin Front Door, is a big statement of intent from the family-run manufacturer, becoming the first organisation of its kind to launch a nationwide TV advert. It signifies substantial financial investment from the board and celebrates the launch of Origin’s new e-commerce platform.

The advert, which will run on ITV, Channel 4, More 4 and various Sky channels until 17th November, celebrates the important role a front door plays in a family home. It will depict a series of significant and poignant family moments which take place around the front door.

This includes a mother-to-be rushing out of the door in labour, the first time the kids crept home late, the arguments and the making up, as well as being the dog’s favourite spot. It has been designed to show that Origin’s Front Doors will be here for today, for tomorrow and for every day.

Neil Ginger, CEO and Co-Founder at Origin, comments:
“It is not often manufacturers of completely bespoke products launch national advertising campaigns, but we see it as a huge sign of intent, and we want everyone to be a part of it. It celebrates our Front Door offering, which we are very proud of, and signifies the exponential growth Origin has experienced over the last few years.
“It also neatly welcomes the new e-com platform to the Origin offering. Finally, it shows the confidence we have in our manufacturing processes and the lead-times we pride ourselves on, that we are able to promote a unique product like the Origin Front Door on such a mass scale. These are very exciting times.”

The new advert will be supported by an extensive marketing campaign, including social media content across Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest, as well as press and showroom opening days. This will run for three months and will progress the story told in the TV advert, with additional creative video and digital content for followers to discover.

In addition to supporting Origin’s ambitious business growth plans, the adverts will also benefit its network of partners, driving up demand, therefore increasing sales and profit making opportunities in the process.

Neil Ginger concludes: “The new advertising campaign is a momentous step for both Origin and the manufacturing industry. It proves that products that are designed with an unlimited amount of specifications in mind, can do so on the national stage.”

FD30 and FD60 Fire and Security doorset solutions

Winkhaus helps Doorset Suppliers to comply with BOTH Security and Fire regulations.

Hardware specialist Winkhaus illustrate how their Fire and Security door set - test evidence solution achieved using a combination of their AV2 or AV3 auto locking system with industry leading composite or timber veneered door leaf, will help specifiers and fabricators meet the Secured by Design – Guide for Selecting Flat Entrance Doorsets requirements related to Fire, Smoke and Security performance.

The SBD guidance document follows the MHCLG Government advice Note 16, point 19 which highlights the importance of third-party certification by a UKAS accredited body providing building owners and landlords with greater assurance of doorset performance.

Winkhaus have invested extensively in fire and security test evidence to achieve both “Q Mark Fire” and “Q Mark Security” third-party dual certification scheme compliance on the same door. This test evidence in line with the latest SBD and MHCLG guidelines has been collated and housed by Winkhaus within a ‘Field of Application Document’ and a Q Mark third -party certification scheme, meaning that fabricators can use this evidence to manufacture doors to these standards providing they sign up for the Dual Fire and Security Q Mark Certification schemes.

The Part Q Security requirements of the UK building regulations add considerable pressure on a manufacturing business. The Part Q requirement requires all doors supplied to projects that require planning permission to have achieved the PAS24 security standard.

CE marking regulations for external fire door sets are imminent, (co-existence period until November 2019). The regulation stipulates that all fire doors should comply with the more onerous EN 1634 fire and smoke test requirement, as opposed to the original BS 476-22 compliance. CE marking also requires that doors are manufactured with third-party audited factory production control or “certification scheme”. As CE marking falls into the responsibility of those placing the product on the market, fabricators could be faced with a long period of costly testing.

The Winkhaus Fire and Security doorset - Dual Fire and Security Q Mark Certification scheme test evidence solution will considerably reduce both the fabricator’s costs and time spent to achieve compliance.

To satisfy different market demands Winkhaus have test evidence with two different construction materials.

Winkhaus have introduced FireFrame ®, a low maintenance, fully finished frame system (No painting required) for composite door sets or traditional timber frame / veneered timber door leaf solutions both of which have been designed for FD30 and FD60 Dual Fire and Security Q Mark Certification compliance.

Both FireFrame® and timber frame options have been tested with the Winkhaus range of AV2 and AV3 auto locking systems. Further options include FD30 and FD60 composite door leafs and 44mm or 54mm internal or external grade timber veneered door leafs. Single leaf door assemblies up to 2800mm high with options of side or fan light glazing, and double door assemblies with door leafs up to 2400mm high.

The Winkhaus fire and security door set solutions using the Winkhaus AV2 or AV3 range of multipoint auto-locks are available as an off the shelf fully tested solution for both fabricator’s and specifiers to choose an easy route to achieving the Secured by Design – Guide for Selecting Flat Entrance Doorsets performance requirement related to Fire, Smoke and Security assured compliance.

Gilgen Door Systems – Setting New Standards in Door Automation

Gilgen have led the industry in setting new standards in door automation. High quality Swiss design and innovation combined with a meticulous eye for detail means their door systems offer unrivalled performance, durability, functionality and style.

All Gilgen automatic doors are designed, manufactured and installed to EN16005 guidelines.

Samantha Thorpe, Sales & Marketing Co-ordinator for Gilgen Door Systems UK said:
"We know that everyone’s needs are different which is why we offer an extensive range of tailored systems that will suit any building design.
"Whether you need just a single door system or lots of different doors, our knowledgeable specialists are on hand to give you the right advice.  Our automatic door range provides a solution to every challenge".

Burglar-Resistant Automatic Sliding Door

Gilgen's commitment to product development has led to the company to be the first to achieve Secured by Design approval for our PAS:24 2016 Sliding Security Door (top image). The door still uses their unique slim aluminium profile with an upgraded glazing specification and is available in a full range of design configurations.

Gilgen specialise in manufacturing and installing automatic doors into the following sectors- hospitals, care homes, colleges, retail, residential and offices.

Gilgen’s SL range of automatic security rated sliding door sets offer optimum resistance to break-in attempts whilst providing architecturally pleasing people flow solutions.  They are tested and certified to a selection of UK standards by BRE-LPCB and they also satisfy similar European security standards.

Fire-Rated Sliding Door

The Gilgen Ei30 fire-rated automatic sliding door (right) provides unique three in one functionality. A normal sliding door for everyday use, a flame-resistant fire door and a reliable emergency escape route. Tested to meet the requirements of European fire resistance standards EN1363-1 and EN1634-1.

Gilgen’s Ei30 resists flames and provides a thermal barrier for up to 30 minutes in full compliance with Part B of the Building Regulations. By dividing rooms into fire compartments, the systems delays the spread of fire and smoke giving pedestrians more time to escape and reduces damage to the property.

Reliable, Safe, Fire-resistant, Gilgen automatic sliding fire doors combine safety with day to day practicality.

  • Fire Prevention
  • Escape Routes
  • Upgrades

The optional “Total Open System” enables the door leaves to be swung open manually in an emergency to guarantee easy escape.  The emergency exit functionality can be set to operate permanently, or in the event of a fire alarm / mains power failure, this allows easy access for transport of bulky items throughout the year, making it ideal for summer events and or garages.  The Integrated closing mechanisms shut the door again after use to provide a reliable fire barrier.

Keeping your Cool in the Food Supply Chain

Deep freeze and refrigerated warehouses face increasing pressure to maintain the quality of the temperature-sensitive goods they produce and store. This is combined with the need to comply with a whole host of regulations, whilst also minimising heat exchange to prevent subsequent energy wastage.

Here Paul Tulley, Key Account Manager at Hörmann UK, explores the latest solutions being utilised by the nation’s leading food producers and restaurant chains to ensure consistent and compliant operations throughout all areas of the warehouse.

With 75% of food waste occurring between production and distribution*, it’s vital manufacturers are optimising their food chain management by specifying and installing the correct equipment, technologies and facilities throughout every stage of the supply chain to minimise wastage and maintain profit margins to increase return on investment.

As the largest segment of frozen food comprises of meat, poultry, cheese, dairy and seafood, these perishable goods must be stored and transported correctly and carefully by facilities managers to ensure any potential material handling issues are avoided. In order to sufficiently combat this, one key area that must be addressed is the correct specification of curtains and doors, particularly within deep freeze applications.

Typically, food requires several temperature zones, requiring the compartmentalisation of certain areas of the warehouse to ensure the correct temperatures are maintained at all times, reducing any potential food wastage. High speed curtain doors are one of the most effective solutions available, as temperature ranges can be thoroughly maintained to maximise cost savings, whilst also offering safe and secure divisions.

The access of these designated cold areas must be done so quickly, in order to minimise any potential heat transfer. To ensure this, site managers must take a proactive approach at the early design stages, working with a trusted and competent manufacturer that will take a bespoke approach to each individual project. Nowhere does a ‘one size fits all approach’ fail more than with cold storage, as each manufacturer’s requirements are completely unique to the next.

For cold and fresh logistics in particular, Hörmann UK’s V4015 ISO L Insulated High Speed Curtain Door provides sufficient operations for refrigerated warehouses up to 5C, featuring a 20mm thick PE foam infill for maximum insulation, with the additional option of a ThermoFrame. This innovative design separates the frame from the building’s structure, improving thermal insulation by up to 15%.

For deep freeze applications where areas with high temperature differences must be adequately and reliably separated, Hörmann UK’s ISO High Speed Cold 100 Door provides 100mm of insulation, making it the ideal choice for internal use between cold or deep freeze areas of the warehouse. Available in high lift of vertical track applications, the internal doors can be installed behind or above supply lines, supported by low-wear counter weights for fast opening and closing, combined with ThermoFrame technology as standard to prevent any potential heat transfers.

Whilst initially specifying the correct product is crucial to maximising productivity by ensuring the correct and efficient storage of food throughout each area of the warehouse, correct installation is also key. If the product is installed incorrectly, potential heat transfer may occur, leading to costly energy losses and noncompliance with relevant regulations.

Owners and managers should therefore choose solutions that also offer non-contact safety, eliminating the requirement for additional installations on the door, such as closing edge safety devices or photocells, which can quickly become costly extras. Avoid this by choosing manufacturers that offer innovations such as safety light grilles as standard, which not only monitor the closing zone of the door leaf, but also ensure compliance with relevant regulations such as EN 13241-1.

Sufficient servicing is also an important consideration as it is key to ensuring the solutions offer long service life and high efficiency as standard. The very nature of high speed opening and closing enables the optimisation of operations, particularly with regard to reducing heat loss. However, if these technologies experience a fault or are damaged, it can have detrimental consequences to a company’s output and subsequently its bottom line.

Regular and comprehensive servicing is extremely important as it not only extends the overall service life of the door, but also minimises any potential downtime due to faults or damage, which predominantly occurs due to misuse or accidents. Business owners should specify doors and curtains that feature frequency converter controls, removing stress from the door’s mechanism, providing a reduction in wear and noise. This is particularly vital for doors and curtains that are operated within high usage areas where the door cycle is subject to greater usage.

By taking a proactive approach to the doors and curtains specified, warehouse owners and managers can ensure they are not only compliant with all relevant regulations to deliver the highest standards in food supply chain, but also ensure operations are maximised at all times to keep profit margins as high as possible. Hörmann UK’s high speed doors are up to 20 times faster than conventional industrial doors, offering reliable continuous operation.

ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions events ‘Unlock Compliance’ for Fire Door Safety Week 2019

Fire doors are often the first line of defence in a fire, yet the strict specification, maintenance and management of these doorsets is still not fully understood. This is something that ASSA ABLOY is passionate about changing.

So, to coincide with Fire Door Safety Week 2019 (23-29 September), ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions UK & Ireland will be hosting two dedicated events to help people responsible for fire doors, unlock compliance to fire door safety.

The two events will take place at the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service Conference Suite on the 19th September and at the UBM Building in Central London on the 24th September.

The aim of the events is to educate and inform delegates about the fire door standards that can often be lost in translation. ASSA ABLOY will bring together all of its brands and wide ranging experience to speak about the common issues surrounding fire door compliance. It will then offer practical advice on how to overcome these issues, by breaking down current and future regulations and ramifications.

The events will promote fire door safety and compliance to facilities managers, building owners, specifiers and contractors. Attendees can expect to gain a greater understanding from ASSA ABLOY staff and guest speakers on the following key topics:

  • Safeguarding compliance through the supply chain
  • The important role door hardware plays in ensuring building compliance
  • The role and performance of fire door seals
  • The importance of compartmentalisation in fire safety

The event will end with a discussion panel.

Brian Sofley, Managing Director at ASSA ABLOY Door Group, comments:
“In May 2018, results of the Independent Review of Building Regulation and Fire Safety, led by Dame Judith Hackitt, made it clear that even after the Grenfell Tower tragedy in 2017, fire doors remained a significant area of neglect, often downgraded and mismanaged throughout their service life.
“Fire safety can only be properly guaranteed if the standards and checks of equipment such as fire doors are carried out by-the-book, and throughout the lifecycle of both the products and the building.”

Eryl Jones, Managing Director at ASSA ABLOY Door Hardware & Access Control Group, adds:
“Growth and acquisitions give ASSA ABLOY Door Hardware & Access Control Group the broadest range of fire compliant door hardware products in the market, backed up by an experienced team of industry professionals.
“ASSA ABLOY’s fire safety events have been a great success over the last couple of years, and we are keen to carry on helping industry professionals to understand compliance when it comes to fire door safety standards.
“We urge industry professionals, specifiers, contractors, property owners and facilities managers to join us at this year’s free events, to help better the standard of fire door compliance as an industry.”

Introducing the £1,000 Yale anti-snap cylinder guarantee

With research revealing that there were a staggering 644,000 domestic burglary incidents in England and Wales last year alone  and with 70% of these burglars gaining entry through a door , it is now more important than ever that maximum-security locks are in place to offer protection from potential break-ins.

The Platinum 3 Star Cylinder is Yale’s most secure lock yet; so much so in fact that Yale is offering a £1,000 guarantee in the unlikely event that the cylinder is snapped under attack due to a forced break-in.

The Yale anti-snap cylinder guarantee provides ultimate peace of mind to homeowners and in turn, fabricators, distributors, and installers. In the event of a burglary or break-in taking place at a home due to a prolonged attack on a Yale Platinum 3 Star Cylinder, Yale will offer a goodwill payment of £1,000 for the inconvenience (subject to the terms and conditions*).

Paul Atkinson, Sales and Commercial Director of Yale Door and Window Solutions, comments:
“We have the utmost confidence in the performance of our Yale Platinum 3 Star Cylinder and are extremely pleased to be able to launch this latest assurance to our customers.

“The anti-snap cylinder guarantee promises consumers that one of the crucial components of the door – the profile cylinder – is supplied by an experienced, market-leading manufacturer. The guarantee truly demonstrates the confidence we have in our product here at Yale, generating a feeling of trust for the consumer.

“The Yale Platinum 3 Star Cylinder provides maximum security against known attack methods, and it can be suited and re-pinned at Yale’s head office in the Midlands or by Kitemark approved stockists.
“It has also been independently tested by BSI to be awarded the British Kitemark TS007:2014 3 Star accreditation – a standard developed in response to concerns around cylinder attacks.
“In addition, the 3 Star Cylinder has been tested to the British Standard BS EN1303:2005 and is Secured by Design approved – meaning it could save homeowners money when it comes to renewing their insurance premiums”.

As well as being anti-snap, anti-bump, anti-pick and anti-drill, the Yale Platinum 3 Star Cylinder also features a sacrificial front section which secures the home in the event of a snap attack.

*For full terms and conditions and more information on the Yale anti-snap cylinder guarantee, please visit www.yaledoorandwindowsolutions.co.uk.

Rely on the strength of steel doors and windows

Darren Lloyd, President of the Steel Window Association, explains why consultants, contractors and property owners should seek the expertise of SWA members.

The appeal of steel framed doors and windows has truly stood the test of time, spanning from old country cottages and warehouses built during the Industrial Revolution, to contemporary commercial and residential properties where designers strive for a minimalist appearance.

While the success is based in part on steel’s inherent strength and elegant sightlines, customers who engage with members of the Steel Window Association (SWA) are actually tapping into a manufacturing heritage which often extends well back into the previous century, with experience of many different project categories.

Crucially, members have a full understanding of the design, fabrication and installation process, while they can also tap into the pooled expertise of the SWA and its technical advisory service. The association not only maintains a comprehensive and widely consulted website and a close relationship with the industry’s major supplier of hot-rolled steel sections but also undertakes product development and testing.

This means, for example, that SWA members have exclusive access to a range of collectively developed energy rated systems which are compliant with building regulations and that are recognised by the British Fenestration Rating Council (BFRC). The SWA also works in cooperation with both the British and European standards agencies, window research bodies and other influential organisations; including FENSA, the Construction Products Association and the Glass & Glazing Federation.

It follows that specifiers or property owners can have full confidence that window and door packages supplied by SWA members will deliver on energy performance, security and safety, while the strength and durability of modern hot dip galvanised steel frames guarantee a long, low maintenance working life.

Recognising the long term resilience and lasting aesthetic ‘appeal of steel’, there are also Steel Window Association member companies who specialise in the repair and maintenance, or even the full restoration of older style windows; as is often essential in conservation cases.

The SWA is the portal not only to the many technical benefits which steel frames offer, but also its member companies’ outstanding levels of service.

Members of the Steel Window Association offer a UK wide service for the repair and replacement of various types of old metal windows, doors and screens, as well as being able to manufacture new fenestration which fully meets the requirements of the Building Regulations. Choosing an SWA member to manufacture and install your steel windows and doors ensures that you are receiving the highest standard of fabrication, installation and customer service.

Short of time for learning and networking? Here’s seven ways to sway busy door industry professionals.

We all know we need to get out more. How else will we meet new people, learn new things, find new ideas and discover new products?

Yet the pressure on our time is unrelenting. It can be difficult to justify time out of the office with all those deadlines looming and emails piling up. The internet provides part of the answer, of course. But the smartest solution for busy door industry professionals is also about choosing days out that can be crammed with as much value as possible.

By taking advantage of UK Construction Week (UKCW) you can tick off all the above at one event.

If you’re not yet registered to attend the UK’s largest construction event, here are seven things that ought to convince you to pop over to the NEC on 8-10 October.

1. Products, products everywhere
New products are always being developed to meet different and emerging needs. Staying up to date with all the latest technology is essential to find the right product for the job. So, if you need to source a new heat pump, find a new sustainable material, discover new roofing products or even new BIM software, then look no further than UKCW. With over 10,000 products being showcased at the event, it makes it the ideal marketplace to source your new product. With eight different sections ranging from build to timber and from surfaces to civils everything you need is right there under one roof.

2. That lucky encounter
Year after year, visitors at UK Construction Week say they won new work as a result of a planned meeting or a chance encounter at the show. People do business with people – and with 35,000 visitors set to attend UKCW, that is a lot of potential leads. Meeting face to face is the most engaging way to do business and UKCW can facilitate that. If you have spotted a business that you want to connect with contact them through the exhibitors’ portal and arrange the meeting in advance. 4,000 business meetings were booked by UKCW visitors prior to the show last year, and exhibitors reported that they had generated 70,000 new business leads at the event. To help with meetings, there's a new business and networking lounge with free WIFI.

3. Genuine innovation, not another widget
You could leave the future of the industry as a surprise. But where’s the business sense in that? Disruptors are now present in many different markets, so this year UKCW is shining a spotlight on the serious change-makers in construction. To aid the search, a new Innovation Zone has been established in partnership with the Construction Innovation Hub (the Hub).

Another new addition for this year is the Innovation Station in partnership with On the Tools. This is a demonstration area specifically for power tools, with all the latest biscuit jointers and heavy-duty bench grinders from top trade brands in action. Visitors can pick up tips from the experts on how to get the most from their range, try out the latest products, and cut a deal with the manufacturers as show discounts will apply.

4. Your own personal industry MBA
Condense your strategic business learning into one, two or three days of insights. UKCW brings together more than 300 expert speakers including Mark Farmer who is spearheading policy initiatives on MMC, Professor Birgitte Andersen of the Big Innovation Centre, Chandru Dissanayeke, director of building safety reforms at MHCLG, Keith Waller, programme director at the Construction Innovation Hub, Sarah Beale, chief executive of CITB and Sonia Zahiroddiny, BIM Strategy Manager for HS2. The UKCW main stage is the place to head to. It offers a programme of keynote talks and panel discussions on many of the big issues of the day around Government policy, digital innovation, MMC, sustainability, diversity, housebuilding, productivity and skills.

And if that’s all a bit too high level, get stuck into the details at a wide range of workshops. This year there will be more than 150 hours of CPD content available. The programme will take on a different theme for each day of the show, tackling fire safety, health and wellbeing and sustainability. There are mini-theatres covering regeneration, MMC, digital construction, energy and HVAC, surfaces and materials, timber and the workplace. There's a new Careers Centre offering workshops on career progression, apprenticeships, staff retention, diversity, career change and new talent.

5. A bit of myth busting on MMC
Everyone knows that Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) are back in vogue, but what is the reality this time? MMC is a strong theme at this year’s UKCW. Full-scale builds will be erected onsite with live demos of MMC technology in action. Head to the MMC Hub for other digital demos and simulations too. Examples of the pre-manufactured structures at the show range from a modular care annex for the healthcare sector and a SIPS panel residential building, to a factory-finished modular bathroom pod for the high end hotel sector, and offsite solutions for the education sector.

6. An experience not easily forgotten
To really understand another person, as the saying goes, you need to walk a mile in their shoes. So, when did you last get to run a building site? Make a beeline for the Coventry University stand and its site simulator. It's hailed as one of the most powerful experiences of any construction show. If you're feeling brave you can step into the site hut, take on the role of the site manager and get first-hand experience of what it's like to work on a busy project. Not for the faint hearted!

7. Celebrations and a beer festival
Everyone enjoys a good awards night and UKCW is no exception. The show hosts the UKCW Role Model of the year, the new Building Trades Awards with Fix Radio and the new UKCW Construction Awards. Plus, to encourage young people into construction the iBuiltThis competition is back and the winners will be announced at UKCW.

And if you’re not involved in the celebrations, just unwind each day with a beer, some street food and a spot of music. The Fischer bar is in Hall 11 and the Rawlplug bar is in Hall 12. Don’t forget the Beer Festival, sponsored by NBS and of course the 'Rockaoke' on Wednesday night.

UKCW is one event with many sections, including Build, sponsored by Easy-Trim, Building Tech, Civils, Energy and HVAC, Surface and Materials, and Timber. It also features Concrete Expo (8-9 October only) and Grand Designs Live (9-10 October only).

Single registration gives access to all areas of the show. For further information visit:  www.ukconstructionweek.com.

Quality Aluminium Gates from Horizal attract UK Installers

Horizal Gates combine good looks with strength and durability

Darren Weatherill – Operations Director at Alucorb - warns about the dangers posed by inferior quality aluminium gates.

The popularity of aluminium gates is rising, as they are rightly seen as a long-lasting and weather-proof alternative to wooden gates.

And at Alucorb we are benefiting from this trend, as we are the sole UK partner of HorizAL - a French-based manufacturer of high-quality aluminium gates. Together, we have launched a concept that’s unique to our market - the “Portalier” network, which is the only professional aluminium gate installer network in the UK.

In France, “Portaliers” are gate installation experts who are trained, approved and regulated by HorizAL to install the product in their own designated and exclusive geographical area. Gates are delivered straight to site on request, with Alucorb also assisting with each “Portalier’s” first installation.

We also help our “Portaliers” with marketing materials, sample gates, and presentation cases, whilst continuous sales, marketing and installation training are all available at our headquarters. In addition, each “Portalier” has their own homepage on our website, whilst we work hard to generate quality leads that we then hand over to the installer most local to the customer, accompanied by full prospect information, quote, visuals and dimensioned design drawings.

In short, we not only offer our network the highest quality aluminium gates in the UK at the best possible prices, but also an incredible level of support. As a result, the “Portalier” network is growing rapidly, with installers from all regions joining us.

Of course, with success comes competition and we are now finding that other companies are jumping on the bandwagon and trying to copy what we are doing, but with cheaper, poorly manufactured aluminium gates.

And this is causing problems for both installers and their customers, because these gates simply aren’t good enough or strong enough to cope with the adverse weather conditions we experience throughout the UK.

Also, the support is not there - so if there’s a problem and the gate isn’t
operating properly, or arrives damaged, then installers are being left on their own.

In fact, just recently four installation companies, disillusioned with their experience in the supply of aluminium gates, have come to visit us and could not believe the difference in the quality of the HorizAL product to what they had been offered elsewhere.

After we went through the unbelievable level of support we provide, they didn’t hesitate to join our network.

But what exactly sets a HorizAL gate apart from the competition?

Well for starters every HorizAL gate is properly engineered, rather than ‘tek-screwed & glued’ like cheaper alternatives. They are rigorously factory-tested at the production facility in Lyon before being CE marked, expertly packaged and shipped to us.

Next, they must go through our own quality control process, before we organise dedicated transport to make sure everything arrives perfectly to each “Portalier” and their customer. After that, there is full post-sales support from our side, so the installer is never left with any unanswered questions or unsolved problems.

None of our competition can get close to this level of service and product quality, which – despite the problem of cheap gates entering the market – is why the “Portalier” concept will continue to thrive.

In short, good gates are good for business. Fit a quality HorizAL gate, which stays looking great and performing well, and word is going to get around and your business will grow thanks to glowing reviews.

Fit an inferior quality gate and word will also get around, but for all the wrong reasons!

To follow the whole sales, manufacturing processes and to give you a real insight into the quality brand of aluminium gates you could be selling scan the QR code.

Alternatively, go to www.horizal.co.uk, click on the ‘About Us’ tab and you’ll find the video in the ‘Who are we?’ section.

It could be the most important video you’ve ever watched!!

These are some of the problems caused by inferior quality gates from other manufacturers:

Bottom pivot coming loose

Fixing to hollow extrusion not strong enough

Top pivot coming loose

Don’t miss out – call 0161 4065912 today to discover more about becoming a “Portalier”. Or visit HorizAL’s UK website: www.horizal.co.uk
