Securefast unveils ENTRA

With a reputation for taking the lead in new innovations, Securefast have introduced the new ENTRA Access Control system, which is being promoted as simply the best value access control product on the market.

Hi Spec reader panels

Launched at the IFSEC international security exhibition back in May, the UK designed and manufactured ENTRA offers an on-line access control system that is easy to program and comes complete with free software that is compatible with Windows7, XP Business or server 2003. The system incorporates SQL sever database with scheduled automatic backup and archiving.

The controller has an Ethernet interface and can be assigned an IP address so that the server PC can communicate directly over the LAN/WAN, allowing doors in remote locations to be incorporated into the system.

Facial recognition reader

Securefast are confident that any competent installation engineer will be able to install the equipment without the need for special training. The wiring has been greatly simplified reducing the number of both cores and cables, whilst the Hi Spec Reader mounts onto standard UK single gang back boxes, making first fix possible.

ENTRA offers a number of reader options, including the exclusively designed Hi Spec reader with a stainless steel front panel ideal for either internal or external mounting. This reader incorporates a Blue illuminated backlight that changes to Green when the door is released.

Iris recognition reader

 There are also Biometric reader options available with the ENTRA system, Iris and facial recognition, each reader has been specifically designed and developed to integrate effortlessly with the ENTRA Access Control system. The Iris Reader offers the latest technology as a fraction of the cost of compared to its competitors. Designed in the UK and exclusive to the ENTRA system the Iris recognition units are simple to use with a read time of 0.5 seconds.
