ORGANISATIONS TEAM UP TO MAKE SECURITY MESSAGE STICK

at the launch of the jointly branded stickers.

The Master Locksmiths Association (MLA) and The Neighbourhood and Home Watch Network (NHWN) have joined forces to produce half a million jointly branded stickers.

Distributed to homes via NHWN’s regional representatives, the stickers will carry the MLA’s website address and telephone number, encouraging members of the public to use an MLA-registered locksmith to carry out any security work needed on their property.

Although the two organisations have worked in partnership for more than two years this is the first time the MLA has been promoted via the popular Neighbourhood and Home Watch stickers.

Steffan George, development director of the MLA, said:
“We’re delighted to be able to promote our organisation through this partnership and provide easily accessible information to members of the public who may be concerned over the security of their home, or who may need to call a locksmith in an emergency.

“The stickers form an important part of our campaign to encourage the public to remember to secure their property when leaving and to use an MLA-approved locksmith, whilst also helping Neighbourhood and Home Watch reinforce its crime prevention message.”

Jim Maddan, chairman of the Neighbourhood and Home Watch Network, commented:
“We’ve been working with the MLA for some time now and this new initiative further cements our relationship.

“By operating a strict licensing scheme and ensuring all of its members are vetted, regularly inspected and meet the highest professional standards, The Master Locksmiths Association provides valuable reassurance for members of the public who may need to use a locksmiths’ services – especially as the Government still doesn’t operate a licensing scheme in this sector.

“The fact that the Master Locksmiths Association’s sister company, Sold Secure, is recognised as the leading test house for security products, is further testament to its status as an authority in the area of crime prevention.

“Promoting safety and security in households is key to both organisations, so it’s fantastic to be able to work together in this way.”
