| Excel update roller shutter with efficient electronic product for maximum security |
Yorkshire-based Excel Industrial Doors and Shutters made company history this month after they visited Huddersfield-based Crosland Moor Community Shop to replace a roller shutter they originally installed a staggering 26-years ago.
The original roller shutter, which showcases the durability and quality of Excel’s shutter products, became tired after protecting the company premises for over a quarter century and needed to be upgraded to a more modern and efficient model.
Duane Swift, managing director of Excel Industrial Doors and Shutters, said:

| The original roller shutter installed 26 years ago |
The original roller shutter was installed back in 1990, and after an initial telephone consultation with the Huddersfield Company, Excel organised an on-site appointment to take initial measurements and discuss the new shutter upgrade.
The newly installed roller shutter, which was manufactured at Excel’s Huddersfield head office, was electronically operated for ease by the means of a key-switch. Excel’s reputation within the Huddersfield and surrounding Yorkshire area is exceptional when it comes to health and safety with electronic commercial roller shutters, all of which come with a manual override facility which can be used in the event of a mains failure.
The new roller shutter was also constructed from 3” pre-galvanised solid steel lath with 65mm guide channels to optimise security.
