Allegion encourages Locksmiths to embrace Keyless Access Control Technology

Allegion UK will showcase its flagship SimonsVoss MobileKey system at Europe’s largest exhibition trade show for locksmithing and security, the MLA Expo, in Telford from 6th-8th October.

Allegion UK’s experts will be at the MLA Expo delivering two training programmes on how to increase sales in electronic access control solutions and demonstrating what the SimonsVoss MobileKey can do at stand H2.45.

According to Research and Markets’s ‘Global Electronic Access Control Market, 2014 to 2024’ report, the global electronic access control market stood at US$ 4,673 million in 2015, and is expected to experience rapid growth expansion from 2016 to 2024. With the expected rapid growth, Allegion UK encourages locksmiths to embrace keyless access control technology and develop the skills necessary to work with it.

The SimonsVoss MobileKey roadshow by Allegion UK has been designed to give locksmiths, installers and contractors the chance to see and learn up close the latest in digital locking with the SimonsVoss MobileKey system developed in Germany.

Speaking about MobileKey, Allegion UK and Ireland Commercial Leader Pete Hancox said:
“The access control market is set to explode, and we’ve been hard at work pioneering affordable, smart and easy solutions for this moment.
“The MobileKey is our entry-level system from our flagship access control brand SimonsVoss, and locksmiths can make this technology a part of their main revenue stream in the coming years.”
Electronic access control and electro-mechanical hardware is redefining the locking industry. SimonsVoss’s MobileKey system can give scheduled access for up to 20 doors and 100 users. Control is also available straight from a facility manager’s fingertips via a cloud-based app.

Conventional keys will never be a thing of the past, but the introduction of ‘smart’ hardware means customers now have the ability to unlock doors with state-of-the-art remote control keys, transponders, PIN-code keypads or straight from their smartphones.

For installers, Allegion will also be demonstrating how to replace mechanical cylinders with digital ones in just a few minutes, with no wires, drilling or dirt.
