JDUK Door Systems asked customers to ‘feel the love’ this Valentine's Day for their newest venture… JDUK Outdoor Living!
Open days were held last week, to launch the company’s new pergola and awning products that will be sold under the new JD Outdoor Living brand, designed to open up new opportunities for existing customers and create wider appeal to attract new clients.
Attendees were also given the chance to meet the new Alunet and JDUK Managing Director, Steve Kendrick, as well as the first chance to see the new sectional garage door to be introduced by JDUK Door Systems, the Pro Plus.
EXCITING NEW CHAPTER
The co-founder of JDUK Outdoor Living, Hollie Sheldon, introduced the new JDUK Outdoor Living venture and the initial product offering to nearly 100 installers over 2 days.
“I'm excited to join the JDUK team to offer both new and existing customers our market-leading range of outdoor living products.
“Previously I have worked in both the garage door and outdoor living industry for around 7 years and seen massive growth in that time. So, I'm really excited for this new chapter.
“The 2 products we’ll be launching initially is the pergola and range of awnings. The beautiful pergola manufactured by Saxun is a wonderful addition to any garden.
“With up to 135-degree lath rotation, integrated draining systems and Bluetooth sound system. We will also be offering a wide range of awnings to suit many different applications.
“With three fabric collections to choose from, along with the addition of the environmentally friendly ‘GREEN’ fabric option. It really is exciting times ahead and we cannot wait to share our product range with you.”
OUTDOOR LIVING
Saxun has been established for 63 years and now operates in 70 different countries. With their expertise in the manufacture of products, coupled with sales and technical support offered by JDUK, it poses an impressive offer to installers looking to add pergolas and awnings to their range.

Pergolas are available in a massive choice of 300 colours. Laths are even fitted with a sun sensor and can rotate according to the direction of the sun, something homeowners are doubtless to love.
What’s more, waterproof drainage and rubber seals mean that the pergola area can be used in all weathers, something particularly useful in the UK climate.
And with the flexibility to bespoke design each installation to meet individual homeowners' needs, it truly is the must-have product for ultimate outdoor living.
Our awnings can be added to our pergolas or used as a standalone feature. Clever sensors on the awning will automatically retract the awning in high winds, achieving a class 3 rating for wind resistance and giving the homeowner peace of mind.
Easy maintenance and sustainability are also taken care of with ‘green’ fabric that not only converts carbon dioxide into oxygen but also kills 60% of fungus, ensuring it looks its best with minimal effort.

And if that wasn’t enough to fill customers with confidence and optimism for the year ahead, Sales & Marketing Director, Jason Wade, went on to introduce the new sectional garage door product, Pro Plus.
Once again, JDUK has listened and responded to customer feedback by adding a very competitively priced door specifically aimed at the most popular door sizes, designs and finishes, with no compromise on quality, to complement its existing range of Wisniowski sectional doors.
Aesthetically it is every bit a residential garage door, both inside and out. Ideal for one-person installs, it comes flat-packed so is easy to handle.
Pro Plus also comes with many other benefits that you’d expect from a premium product but without the premium price tag, such as adjustable ball bearing rollers, adjustable hanging straps, 40mm insulated panels, wheel guides for added protection, clip system for ease of installation and adjustable cable hook-up.
The headroom for front torsion installs is an impressive 130mm for doors up to 5 metres wide, including automation! And there are 2 types of automation to choose from, ‘Like It’ and Avanti.
CHOICE & OPTIONS
The Pro Plus is available in M Ribbed, L Ribbed and Georgian styles, in a range of 30 RAL colours, in either a woodgrain, smooth or sandgrain texture. Windows are also available to suit any panel design.
The acrylic external frame is supplied as standard in white. For frame and decorative inserts, choose the Georgian cross, diamond, square or diamond leaded.
As an optional upgrade, window frames can be colour coded to suit the door panel. Square and round aluminium frames are also available, and glazing is available as Clear or Smooth Opaque.
OPPORTUNITIES FOR GROWTH
The day concluded with a round-up of the other products JDUK offers, with the news that over 90% of its customer base had been retained since moving to new suppliers.
The Wisniowski double-leaf side hinged garage door is doing particularly well and set to do even better with the promise of a meaningful price reduction on the most popular DoorPro 45 and improved lead times down to just 5 weeks.
Entrance doors have taken off really well for JDUK too with CREO, which has over 300 standard door designs and endless options of colours, configurations and handles.
And the new kid on the block that is revolutionising the composite door market, Comp Door, is also now available through JDUK.
