Hampshire-based March Automatic Door Systems, who recently renewed their Secured by Design (SBD) membership, welcomed SBD’s Lyn Poole to their headquarters to showcase their range of sliding doorsets.
March Automatic Door Systems is a national provider of automatic swing and sliding doors, manual aluminium swing doors, PAS24 swing doors, and automatic sliding communal doors. The company also supplies and installs aluminium entrance screens and steel-hinged doors.
Founded in 2014, March works with both domestic and commercial customers, including a number of leading high street retailers, and clients in the education, government, and health sectors. With engineers and installers located across the country, the company is able to offer a nationwide service backed by a reactive repair and maintenance division.
Lyn, on her visit to Hook in Hampshire, explained:
“I was delighted to take over the membership account for March Automatic Door Systems after they renewed in July. I visited them at the beginning of October and caught up with Colin Dillon, the Managing Director. Their PAS24 sliding doors are great products. Colin explained the high-security specifications they use for these doors, which is very impressive for a PAS24 door set.”Demonstrating their commitment to providing secure product options to their client base, the following March products have achieved Secured by Design Police Preferred Specification:
Doors:
- Automatic Sliding Door Range
- Commercial High Security Automatic Power Sliding Doorset
Colin Dillon, March Automatic Door Systems, said:
“It was a pleasure to meet with Lyn and to discuss the routes to market for our product - her knowledge and experience were very insightful. I’d like to also thank Hazel Goss, our previous SBD Development Officer, for her help, warmth and advice over the last few years. I look forward to working with Lyn and the SBD organisation in the coming months.”On March Automatic Door Systems' dedicated member page, you can learn more about their Secured by Design accredited products.
Secured by Design (SBD) is owned by the UK Police Service with the specific aim of reducing crime and increasing safety for businesses and individuals.
SBD seeks to improve the physical security of buildings and the surrounding area using products such as doors, windows, locks and walling systems along with fencing systems that meet the SBD Police Preferred Specification security requirements.
SBD have many partner organisations, ranging from the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government through to local authorities, housing associations, developers and manufacturers and work closely with standards and certification bodies.
SBD is the only way for companies to obtain police recognition for security-related products in the UK, through the Police Preferred Specification - a product-based accreditation scheme developed 25 years ago, which provides a recognised standard for all security products that effectively deter and reduce crime. SBD work with manufacturers and standards authorities to ensure that security standards are current and updated to keep pace with emerging crime trends.
