Garador Supports Coast to Coast Charity bike ride!

Garador’s large fleet of trucks do much more than deliver new garage doors. Recently, they were used to deliver over 500 bikes to their riders so they could take part in a recent big Coast to Coast charity bike ride.

It was all part of a major fund raising activity for the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance, and involved some energetic pedalling over 54 miles from the north coast of Somerset to the south coast of Dorset.

"Ensuring all the cyclists and their bikes were at the right place at the right time was vital,” said Simon Hipgrave, managing director of Garador. “We were more than willing to give a hand and our modern fleet of well kitted out trucks was easily adapted so all the bikes could be transported safely".

Bill Sivewright, Chief Executive Officer of the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance, said they were amazed by the support of the communities on the route and the numbers who turned out to support the riders.

Garador played a crucial part in helping to reunite cyclists with their bikes. With over £54,000 raised thus far, this was by far the best Coast to Coast Challenge yet and a great boost for Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance.
