Pickersgill-Kaye’s High Security Locking Solutions Going Global

A targeted marketing strategy and the support of one of the most trusted names in access control solutions, Pickersgill-Kaye is making significant inroads into new international markets with its range of locks that help address the large-scale security challenges facing critical infrastructure sites.

Pickersgill-Kaye’s ongoing export drive for its High Security Multipoint Locking Systems has been given a major boost since the company’s acquisition by ASSA ABLOY, the global leader in door opening solutions.

The Leeds-based lock manufacturer, now a trading division of ASSA ABLOY Limited, reports that since joining the Group there has been strong interest from worldwide markets for its range of high security multipoint locks for secure sites, which has led to a breakthrough in Europe, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific regions.

Managing Director, Simon Teagle, explained:
“Being part of ASSA ABLOY opens opportunities for Pickersgill-Kaye’s high security products, both in the UK and export markets where we can work closely with our sister businesses locally who have established routes to market. We are starting to see product penetration in new markets with a strong pipeline of enquiries that have resulted in systems already being supplied to customers in these regions.”
ASSA ABLOY’s high performance, blast and ballistic resistant doors, coupled with Pickersgill-Kaye’s locking products, offers customers a complete security access solution for the protection of high profile buildings at risk of attack.

Pickersgill-Kaye’s high security locks are already in use protecting critical infrastructure and high value assets across the UK and Ireland. There is also strong interest in the firm’s range of High Security Slide Bar, Claw and Pedestrian Gate Locks for perimeter security applications.

Available in both surface mounted and mortice versions, Pickersgill-Kaye’s portfolio of single and multipoint locking systems are designed and manufactured to the highest technical standards. The range of locks, bolts and fittings has been specifically developed to meet exacting standards of physical attack whilst maintaining safe and easy exit.

The high security single and multipoint locks incorporate a number of key features including stainless steel lock cases, aesthetically pleasing colour matched lock and rod covers, cylinder guard protection and hardened steel bolts with anti-thrust prevention. They have also been independently cycle tested to in excess of one million operations.

All Pickersgill-Kaye products are designed on state-of-the-art CAD CAM software and are manufactured entirely in the UK using high-tech materials and production techniques. Its locks undergo extensive and challenging third party testing covering some of the most demanding durability and resistance to attack in order to satisfy the operational requirements of both national and international high security market sectors.

As with all Pickersgill-Kaye products the High Security Multipoint Locking Systems range is supported by experienced technical and customer care departments, which can now provide a worldwide service.
