P C Henderson Evolve with Automation

Sliding and folding door hardware manufacturer, P C Henderson, is pleased to announce the launch of its new and improved Evolve range for internal automated straight sliding doors for residential and light commercial applications.

Evolve now takes advantage of P C Henderson’s renowned Soltaire product which is known in the market for its exceptionally smooth and reliable operation. To complement the qualities of Soltaire, a quieter operating motor has been paired with Evolve to create a more sophisticated and reliable offering to the market.

Technology is changing the way we live our lives and consequently has an impact the design and functionality of our homes and places of work. Smart home technology aims to make your living space more comfortable, convenient and adaptable. Evolve has been designed to support this movement as a step towards achieving a responsive home.

Evolve has been designed with flexibility in mind, can be soffit or face fixed and has a number of key safety features such as obstacle detection and a safe low voltage operation, in addition to this the doors also work as standard sliding doors in the event of a power failure.

Available to order now, the system is suppled in a variety of kits for wooden and glass doors weighing up to 80kg. Options include straight sliding and bi-parting models with simultaneous action and are supplied with two wall mounted ‘push and go’ control panels as standard. To further enhance the range a selection of sensors and remote controls are available as optional extras.

Fergus Pickard, Product Development Director at P C Henderson, comments:

“P C Henderson are delighted to release our new and improved Evolve automation range to the market. As a company we are committed to continuous improvement and product development to ensure that the market has a range of fit for purpose products that take advantage of new technologies and processes”.
Evolve has proved to be popular with residential and light commercial applications such as care homes as it allows for free unrestricted access around a building. Doors open wide enough to allow those in need of walking aids to pass freely and independently from one area to another.
