Green Gate Access Systems show support for worthy local charity

Green Gate Access Systems has continued its valuable support of one of Maidstone’s most worthy charities. Managing Director of the Green Gate brand, Neil Sampson, has been a trustee of The Princess Project for more than a year and was on hand on Tuesday, together with Mayor, Keith English, to help them celebrate receiving their registered charity status and to officially open their new office in Parkwood.

The Princess Project offers help and support to young local mothers in need of a little extra support and runs a number of initiatives, such as drop-in coffee mornings, parenting courses, a befriending scheme, providing gift boxes to new mothers and running Totcycle, a baby goods exchange. The new office, open Monday-Friday between 09:30-14:30, will enable young mothers to seek advice about the services offered by the charity or simply see a friendly face. A children’s play area is also available.

In addition to Neil’s work as a trustee, the Green Gate Company provide the Princess Project with storage for the tot cycle. Co-founder of the firm, Hannah Sampson, is also a befriender and assists with the running of parenting courses.
“We are delighted to be able to offer our time and on-going support to The Princess Project.” said Neil Sampson. “Being a young Mother can be a daunting process and the charity fulfils an extremely important role in offering advice and support. We look forward to continuing to provide help and encouragement in supporting the efforts of this extremely worthwhile cause.”

The Green Gate Company is an active supporter of several charities, including Soteria Trust, which runs a business school for under privileged youngsters in Nigeria, equipping them with UK recognised qualifications in business studies and accountancy and Redeeming our Communities, a UK based initiative to improve community cohesion.
