The ASO INDUS System, Safety with Reliability for Doors and Gates

Safety edges on the moving edges of doors & gates have the added complication of transmitting a signal back to the control unit safely and reliably.

The ‘Indus Compact’ can be used on gates of up to 25-metres in length with minimal installation time and tools. INDUS uses an inductive transmission system that does not require batteries and is not affected by external radio sources.

A tensioned wire is installed along the length of the door or gate and is attached at each end providing a grounding effect with the door or gate frame. Signals are passed on to this wire (via a stationary coil) and the grounding with the metal of the gate or door creates a fully monitored circuit. At one end safety edges are connected to a coil that moves with the gate, this coil modifies the passing signal when the safety edges are activated. The modification to the signal is detected at the original fixed coil and the safety relay triggers its outputs.

The safety relay that is packaged with the INDUS Compact also handles all the stationary fixed safety edges, this unit is certified to BS EN 954-1 Category 3 & BS EN 13849-1 Performance level E.

By utilising tried and tested technology the INDUS system provides the most reliable transmission system method coupled with maximum safety performance.

The ASO INDUS System is available through ASO Safety’s UK distributor Easygates Distribution (EGD). To contact them you can call 0845 054 5070, email info@egduk.com or visit www.egduk.com
