Continual investment in R&D allows us to provide the latest, performance led solutions to answer specification demand and BIM components are crucial to this offering.”

Over the coming months the manufacturer will continue to add BIM components for all products from its vast range of sliding door gear solutions. This will be in line with the objectives of the Government Construction Strategy that all central government departments will be adopting, as a minimum, collaborative Level 2 BIM by 2016. By doing this, P C Henderson will be providing specifiers with the tools necessary to not only comply to these requirements, but also to create outstanding buildings delivered on time and to budget.

P C Henderson have a resident BIM expert, Philip Jones, Technical Services Manager, available to help with the specification process of their sliding door gear systems.

The Husky models available on the bimstore include Husky 50-Bi Passing door, Husky-50 Face-Single Door, Husky-100-Bi Passing Door, Husky-110 Face Single and Husky-100 Pocket Door. Versatile and quiet, the Husky sliding door systems are ideal for wardrobe doors and room dividers. Tracks are available in galvanised steel, aluminum or anodised aluminum, coupled with nylon rollers, Husky provides a low maintenance, durable, high quality solution with the addition of optional extras such as soft stop and low headroom functions.’
Royle adds: “Our British engineered designs offer high performance solutions ideal for both new build and refurbishment projects. They can be used for a range of sectors including housing, education and retail to create space in an interior environment or to provide an indoor/outdoor experience. BIM is a hot topic in the industry, we have focused on working with knowledgeable and experienced partners to ensure that we offer BIM components that reflect the quality of Henderson products and exceed industry expectations.”

Gillian Smith, Partnership Manager at bimstore, comments:

We are proud to have a business established as far back as 1921 giving us their vote of confidence, and believe it shows that PC Henderson are equipping themselves for the future. We are pleased PC Henderson chose us to help them progress with BIM, and look forward to continuing to do so.”

P C Henderson’s solutions can increase the interior floor space available by the use of sliding door gear systems which provide an easy access solution that is versatile and silent in use. They can be used as room dividers to create a flexible living space as well as for wardrobe doors which helps create space and allow more light into a property by opening up rooms. In addition, pocket doors glide neatly into the wall cavity to provide a modern aesthetic for dividing rooms or for use with en-suite bathrooms and cupboard doors.
