Loopless Loop Detector for Automated Gates and Barriers

The Dynamite VD909 mini-loop from Diablo by Forematic - The loop detector without a loop’, this 6” long yellow stick replaces exit loops.

Huw Jones, Managing Director of the UK Distributors, Diablo Controls explains:
“Ever since the electric carving knife in the 1980’s, technophiles have been fitting electric motors to everything from tin openers to pencil sharpeners.

“It seems everything these days has a digital display. My daughter is experimenting with a sous vide machine, a sort of modern slow cooker with a digital display. Meat comes out of the machine tender and succulent because, the brochure promises, the digital display controls the cooking conditions. This machine is another kitchen device that will deliver quality grub, until we run out of kitchen work surface again.

“Now, I’m not against progress, but I like to see technology that delivers a benefit, so I was interested to hear from an American Company claiming to have a unique solution to a messy job”.

“In short, it’s an exit device that is placed in the road or driveway, to trigger a barrier or gate to open. It is not a safety device. That would be the Holy Grail, but as a replacement to standard loops (for free exit only) it saves hours of installation time”.

“We believe Dynamite to be unique. This is not an aspirational boast – it really is the only device of its type (that we are aware of) in the world”.

Billed as ‘The loop detector without a loop’, this 6” long yellow stick replaces exit loops. The device uses conventional loop detector technology, so it is resilient to vibration or large off-road metal objects. The detector module is small and well packaged, promising compatibility with any control panel, and without a digital display.

The manufacturers claim that the value in terms of time saving and reliability is confirmed by the 5000 units sold in USA this year.

For installers though, we imagine that having his lunch free from concrete dust might be a good enough reason to fit a Dynamite!
