Two new Appointments at Codelocks assist Global Expansion and add Expertise

Digital lock designer and manufacturer Codelocks has promoted Colin Campbell to its board of directors in charge of worldwide sales, responsible for business growth across the Codelocks group. The group consists of Codelocks UK, USA, and Australia, and encompasses all of the access control product ranges.

In his new role, Colin will focus on aligning global sales strategies, including overseeing deals with multinational companies. He will focus on growing Codelocks’ global market share and continue to maximise Codelocks’ international relationships. This new position will also ensure that products continue to meet market sector needs, new products are introduced quickly, and pricing remains market competitive.

Commenting on the appointment, Grant Macdonald, Managing Director of Codelocks, said:
“Colin’s performance since joining Codelocks has been exemplary and is reflected in this promotion to the board as Sales Director. The depth of his experience in our industry means he appreciates the different needs across market sectors and distribution models between regions, and most importantly how to effectively manage these.
“Colin has the skills we need to help us continue global business growth and he will play a key role in developing products for emerging markets. With the creation of this new position, Codelocks continues to strengthen and expand in a targeted, controlled way.”

Colin added, “I am looking forward to being involved in the further expansion of Codelocks into North East America and Central Europe and the opportunities that this will create. It’s an exciting time to be part of the growth of Codelocks, which now has over 150 variants of mechanical, electronic and smart locks.
“This is a fantastic opportunity to address the challenges customers, locksmiths and distributors face and promote Codelocks products on multiple levels, in a variety of different markets and languages. I am excited to meet with the entire team across all locations in the coming weeks, to share best practice and agree future plans.”

Having previously worked for over 20 years in the door and hardware industry, Colin brought a wealth of experience with him to Codelocks over 18 months ago when he was appointed as a Sales Manager, overseeing business operations in both the UK and Middle East.

During this time the business underwent double-digit growth in both its domestic and overseas markets. Colin’s industry expertise is enhanced by his membership to professional trade body Guild of Architectural Ironmongers (GAI) and membership to Institute of Architectural Ironmongers (IAI).

In a second announcement, Codelocks has appointed Jo Milne-Rowe into its business development team.

Jo will focus on supporting existing accounts in the south of the UK and will be responsible for developing new sales growth across multiple areas.

Joining Codelocks with extensive experience in architectural hardware, mechanical security and electronic access control, Jo will identify new target markets, implement sales strategies and assist in the development of the next generation of access control products.

Colin Campbell, Sales Director, welcomes Jo to Codelocks:

“Jo brings a deep understanding of the access and security industry to Codelocks. Her experience of forging strong relationships and successfully launching new products will be an asset to the team.
“Part of Jo’s role is to develop and deliver educational training programme to meet the varying needs of our customers. It is a demanding challenge to ensure that communications are suited for a range of novice to advanced audiences, and the programme meets both sales and technical needs.
“We welcome Jo to the role and look forward to continuing Codelocks’ long-term international business growth, utilising her expertise.”

Commenting on her new role, Jo says:
“Working for a digital lock innovator, with colleagues who are experts in access control, is a great opportunity. Joining the company at a time of expansion and as it launches its new smart lock range is exciting.
“I am looking forward to helping to continue to grow the business and delivering its new training programme for security installers, locksmiths and architects.”

Jo is the Chairperson of the South East Institute of Architectural Ironmongers (IAI) which involves organising networking meetings with industry experts, delivering thought leading presentations and supporting the Continuous Professional Development (CPD) programme.
