Constructionline is the UK’s leading procurement and supply chain management scheme for the construction industry.
In order to obtain gold membership, Jewers had to provide comprehensive information on various aspects of the company's business using an enhanced prequalification questionnaire that goes above and beyond standards which are normally employed in construction-related procurement procedures.
Their company credentials were assessed for environmental management, quality management, equal opportunities and diversity, and corporate and social responsibility. Gold membership also includes an Acclaim Health & Safety accreditation, which is SSIP compliant (Safety Schemes in Procurement).
Their new gold status will provide assurance and confidence that Jewers Doors is committed to their customers, industry and employees.
Jewers Doors Limited is a privately owned, family company dedicated to the design, manufacture and installation of specialist industrial doors and aircraft hangar doors. They manufacture the world renowned Esavian aircraft hangar doors and the Phoenix industrial sliding folding doors range.
Operating from from 2,400 square metres of modern factory and office space in Bedfordshire - a beautiful English county north of central London. They employ around 50 people to design and manufacture sliding folding door systems which incorporate the very latest concepts and technology.
More than 50 per cent of Jewers Doors' output is exported - the principal overseas markets being the Middle East, the Far East and Europe. The rest of their output is for customers in the United Kingdom.
