New UK head for fire and security testing business

Fire safety specialist Exova Warringtonfire, part of the global testing group Exova, has named Leigh Hill as its new general manager for the UK as the company expands its specialist services to customers worldwide.

Leigh, who has worked in the business for 15 years, will lead teams specialising in reaction to fire and fire resistance at Warrington and security testing at Willenhall.

His experience spans research and special projects, certification and business development across Europe.

John Willox, managing director of Exova Warringtonfire, said:
“Leigh fully understands our markets from a European and global perspective and our customers can expect the very best from the team as we continue to widen our capabilities and our range of services.”

Minister for the Fire and Rescue Services Brandon Lewis recently opened the extended Exova Warringtonfire centre of excellence which provides customers with increased capacity and expanded testing services.

The Warrington facility - extended by 4,000 sq metres - provides a significant increase to application preparation areas for concrete and steel coatings and offers a new level in Health and Safety standards and customer confidentiality in fire resistance and reaction to fire services.

With more than 45 years’ experience, Exova Warringtonfire is the world’s leading independent fire and security testing, fire engineering and certification organisation, offering a diverse range of specialist fire safety and security services to international markets from a network of accredited sites around the world including Europe, Middle East, Asia and Australia.
