Union Introduces Eximo®: New Range Of Exit Devices

UNION, part of ASSA ABLOY Security Solutions, has consolidated and developed its panic and emergency exit device offering, launching a new suited range ideal for a variety of project specifications.

The Eximo® range – suitable for use on both timber and steel doors – has been launched as part of the larger ‘We are UNION’ campaign, to strengthen and broaden the brand’s offering.

Featuring eight new products, UNION’s latest offering includes panic latches and bolts, emergency push pads, mortice operated exit devices featuring UNION’s Optimus3 mortice lock cases, and outside access products with lever and knob variants.

All products within the Eximo® panic exit suite are suitable for use on exit doors and routes within public buildings where in a crisis, the exit route is unfamiliar, making them ideal for applications such as hospitals, schools and leisure facilities.

Conversely, the products available under the emergency exit range are designed for use in buildings, where users are familiar with the exit routes and procedures – making them a crucial feature in offices and commercial developments.

Designed to be easy to install, use and adjust, all Eximo® products are also fully retro-fittable with the market’s most popular products – an advantage when working on refurbishment projects.

All products within the new Eximo® range come with a 10-year guarantee and are non-handed to provide a flexible solution. Plus, with an enhanced finish and adjustments made to improve performance over time, the panic and emergency exit device ranges offer superior quality, at a competitive price point.

Ian Bartlett, Head of Product Management for ASSA ABLOY Security Solutions, commented:
“In addition to complementing UNION’s mortice campaign, which is all about reinforcing our place as market leaders, the Eximo® range is also designed to provide a solution for all specifications.

“Following customer feedback we’ve ensured that all products within the new range are easy to use and install, helping to save time on site and ensuring optimum functionality. In addition, the comprehensive range is easy to understand, aiding the specification process.”

All UNION panic exit devices are fully CE certified to EN1125, with emergency exit devices tested to EN179. Plus, all products within the new ranges are Certifire approved, withstanding 30 & 60-minute fire tests on timber doors and 240 minutes on steel doors.
