Training and Compliance Officer required by Door and Hardware Federation

We’re hiring!

In view of the very high demand for the DHF training courses, technical support and site visits, we are now looking to recruit both a full time replacement and also a part time person.

The full time position will be based at our offices near Tamworth, Staffordshire.  The work would suit someone with an engineering background in the door & gate industry or an allied field, preferably with some experience in delivering training.

The principal responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering training and assessment to members and non-members on subjects related to the manufacture, installation, repair and maintenance of doors and gates;
  • Inspecting and reporting on the condition of doors and gates;
  • Advising members on technical training and compliance with standards;
  • Attending meetings to represent DHF on matters relating to technical standards, training and qualification;
  • Creating and reviewing technical documentation for publication by DHF.

We are flexible with the part time position and would be looking at 1–2 days per week.  These days would mainly involve delivering training at our offices but, as and when required, could also include some site visits and technical support. As such, the position does not require the person to be based at Tamworth and could possibly suit somebody who has recently retired.

If you are interested or are aware of any suitable candidates, we should be most grateful if you could get in touch or would invite them to contact Michael Skelding at michael.skelding@dhfonline.org.uk
