We fitted escutcheons where necessary and built six differs into the system to increase the scheme’s safety.”
The Cavern Club opened in 1957 in Liverpool as a jazz club, later becoming a centre of the rock and roll scene in Liverpool in the early 1960s. The club became synonymous with Merseybeat and regularly played host to the Beatles in their early years. Today the Cavern is a thriving live music destination and one of Liverpool’s top tourist attractions.
It encompasses three stages across two venues – the Cavern Club and the Cavern Pub. With up to 800,000 visitors a year and many different key holders the security and access control of offices and backstage areas are of vital importance. The ABUS Vitesse cylinders will provide years of trouble-free secure operation, even in high-traffic parts of the Cavern.
