Established in 2007, Rotec has grown to become a leading steel door supplier across the UK construction industry.
Rotec are committed to achieving excellent standards across all areas, including products, services, environmental commitments and health and safety.
They are proud to hold the following ISO certifications: 14001, 45001 and 9001 and required accreditations and memberships; CHAS, Constructionline, SSIP, GAI and Achilles.
Rotec has a wide range of Secure Defend doorsets which have achieved SBD’s Police Preferred Specification, available in single and double leaf variations, with security features outlined below.
Their security doors are intruder and explosive resistant, providing a safety-first solution on high security projects for numerous industry sectors and government organisation buildings such as police stations, HMP government facilities and premises where valuable assets are stored.
Rotec’s security doorset range is certified to Loss Prevention Standard LPS 1175 SR1, SR2, SR3 and SR4. Additionally, their Fire Safety Certification is in accordance with the latest UK standards: BS EN 14351-1 and BS EN1634.
The latest new security product innovation from Rotec is their communal entrance door which has been certified to both A and B testing, meeting the LPS 2081 standard, which sits between their PAS 24 and SR2 doorsets.
SR1
Rotec’s SR1 rated doors provide low to mid-level security and resistance to opportunist attempts at forced entry, using bodily physical force and a limited range of hand tools, including those that create noise.
Rotec’s SR2 rated doors provide mid-level security and resistance to more sophisticated attempts of forced entry, where bodily physical force and trade hand tools and equipment are used, including those that create noise.
BRE conducts extensive testing using items such as kit claw hammers, drills, hacksaws, pliers, screwdrivers, and other manual tools to ensure that the SR2 door meets the specified time protection requirements of 3 minutes of continual attack.
Rotec’s SR3 rated doors have undergone further testing in order to achieve Secured by Design accreditation.
BRE conducts extensive testing using items such as bolt cutters, gas torches, scissor jack, fluorocarbon-based freeze spray and other manual tools to ensure that the SR3 door meets the specified time protection requirements of 5 minutes of continual attack.
Rotec’s SR4 rated doors provide moderate security and resistance to experienced determined attempts at forced entry, using a range of hand tools and battery powered tools including those that create noise.
BRE conducts extensive testing using items such as a ‘K-tool’ lock remover, jigsaw, sledgehammer, steel wedges and other manual tools to ensure that the SR4 door meets the specified time protection requirements of 10 minutes of continual attack.
“At Rotec, we are committed to ensuring that all our products and services meet the superiority in safety compliance, quality, and performance.
“The renewal of our SBD accreditation gives decision makers who want to deploy our products the confidence that they have been tested to the very highest of standards required.”
“It has been a pleasure to renew membership with Rotec Security Solutions who have been members since March 2022, offering a great range of security doors for the commercial sector. I am looking forward to working alongside them for many more years to come.”
