SWS UK announce a New Triple Chamber Rubber Seal on SeceuroGlide Range

A new rubber seal has been developed for use in the SWS range of SeceuroGlide roller garage doors.

This new rubber seal, which is compatible with the SeceuroSense remote control system, will provide a neater finish when the door closes and improved weather sealing.

The new rubber seal will be supplied on SeceuroGlide, SeceuroGlide Excel, SeceuroGlide Manual and SeceuroGlide LT manufactured from Monday 3rd March.

Previous rubber seals used with the optical safety edge system used an external flap to provide the weather sealing but this new rubber seal replaces this with an extra chamber. This extra chamber provides a more consistent seal than a flap and can also accomodate greater variation in the garage floor.

Replacing the flap with a chamber now enables the rubber seal to enter the guide rails and a new set of blocks have been developed alongside this new rubber seal to enable this to happen. This alteration provides a neater finish at the base of the guide rails and improved weather sealing.

SeceuroGlide Excel will be supplied with a shorter block fitted at each end which allows for the thickness of the steel plate fitted at the base of the guide rail.

The optical cells for the safety edge system are located in the middle chamber of the rubber seal.

Any gaps present at the bottom of the door which are due to uneven surfaces will require adjustments to the garage floor to overcome this. This rubber seal is not currently available with SeceuroGlide Compact doors.
