Heritage And Innovation At The Locksmith Expo

Attending for the fifth consecutive year since the show began in 2010, ASSA ABLOY Security Solutions, part of ASSA ABLOY UK, will be exhibiting at the Locksmith Expo 2014.

Returning to the East Midlands Conference Centre in Nottingham, on the 8th and 9th March, ASSA ABLOY Security Solutions will be showcasing its innovative offerings on stand A1.

Visitors to the stand will have the opportunity to get some hands-on experience with many of the most popular products from UNION, part of ASSA ABLOY Security Solutions, including the KeyULTRA masterkey system, with a patent lasting until 2028 – one of the longest on the market. Also on display will be the innovative Codehandle, offering an easy update to access control, and the recently strengthened and updated mortice range, demonstrating UNION’s continual product development and innovation in line with customer needs.

UNION’s Eximo range has also recently been consolidated and developed in response to customer feedback, and will be on display at the exhibition. Featuring eight new products, UNION’s Panic Exit Device range includes panic latches and bolts, emergency push pads, mortice operated exit devices featuring UNION’s Optimus3 mortice lock cases, and outside access products with lever and knob variants.

Finally, the Securitron® Powerjump will also be on display. Porting power contactlessly and invisibly across the door gap to run electrified hardware on the door, the Powerjump offers an easy-to-install electric lock, without the customary drilling and wiring, and epitomizes ASSA ABLOY’s commitment to innovation.

Tina Hughan, Head of Marketing for ASSA ABLOY UK, said:
“As a group, we have an unrivalled heritage in the locking industry, and our customers have always known us to be consistent and dependable. Within the last couple of years, however, we have really streaked ahead with innovative solutions, such as Securiton®’s Powerjump. It great to be able to exhibit our divergent offerings, and show how they can work together and complement each other.

“In previous years we’ve had some very popular attractions on our stand, including hands-on demonstrations and some fun competitions that give our customers the chance to put their skills to the test. Keep your eyes peeled on our Twitter profile for updates (@ASSAABLOYUKLtd)…”
