Aluroll Adds To Range Of LPCB Approved Security Shutters

As part of its continued expansion, Aluroll is adding to its existing range of LPCB (Loss Prevention Certification Board) insurance approved shutters.

The LPCB (which is part of BRE Global) work with insurers, government, police, designers, manufacturers, contractors and end users to develop methods by which product performance and reliability can be assessed. All the products approved by the LPCB have been subjected to rigorous testing to assess their resistance to deliberate attack. The LPCB also undertakes an ongoing approval process that ensures, through regular auditing, that approved products continue to comply with the relevant standard after they have been launched onto the market.

Aluroll has successfully completed a pre-assessment of the Eurolook transparent shutter that conforms to LPCB Security Regulation 1 (SR1) standard, the S76 solid and perforated shutter (SR2) and the S100 double skinned insulated steel shutter, which has been provisionally approved to SR3 and SR4 dependent on final design.

“Security is a hugely important consideration for our customers, so it is something we take into account throughout the design process and manufacture of all our products,” says Aluroll Director Mark Evans.

“The LPCB approved shutters are extremely popular as they offer a guaranteed level of security, so we are very excited about adding to the range. It takes a lot of work on our part to design and manufacture products that meet the rigorous LPCB guidelines, but it is very much worth it as it adds considerable value to our products and satisfies the needs of our customers.”
