New Commercial Assistant joins a growing team at Door & Hardware Federation

DHF (Door & Hardware Federation) has announced it has welcomed a new member of staff to the team!  Commercial Assistant, Jaspreet Thiara, will support the marketing function, and in particular, Patricia Sowsbery-Stevens, who was confirmed as the organisation’s Commercial Manager in September.

Jaspreet will be responsible for undertaking marketing administrative duties and managing DHF’s website and growing social media presence.

She joins a thriving team at the federation which has enjoyed one of its most successful years to date.  The creation of a new Commercial Department just last month has highlighted the organisation’s continuing growth, especially its training offering.

In September, DHF moved its head office premises to ‘The Barn’ at ‘Shuttington Fields Farm’, a larger office space with a state-of-the-art Training Academy, demonstrating its continued commitment to training.

With a BA Honours degree in Media, Communication and Drama, Jaspreet originally pursued an acting career, participating in local theatre productions and street theatre, and even spending time in Los Angeles, before a career in marketing beckoned.

Previous roles have included Social Media Manager at fashion brand, Forever Devine and marketing agency, SEM Consultants; Website Administrator/Marketing Assistant at Cousins Furniture and organising a fashion show event in aid of breast cancer, raising more than £500.00.

“I was very excited to learn I had secured the position at DHF and believe I can assist the development of the organisation,” says Jaspreet.  “It really is my dream role and I was so happy when they offered it to me!  I look forward to contributing my skills, working hard with the team and helping DHF in continuing to add value for its members.”
“We heartily welcome Jaspreet to DHF and look forward to benefiting from her digital marketing experience,” said Commercial Manager, Patricia Sowsbery-Stevens.  “2018 has been an outstanding year for DHF across every extent of the organisation and I know that, with Jaspreet’s assistance, we will continue to grow successfully and maintain our position as the UK’s foremost trade association in the areas that we serve.”
