P C Henderson extends Securefold range to reflect growing trends

P C Henderson, a leader in the design and manufacture of sliding gear systems for doors, is pleased to announce the introduction of a new colour and weight category to its popular Securefold range for exterior folding doors.

To answer aesthetic demand, a black finish to components has now been added to the range which already includes brushed satin, polished stainless steel and titanium gold.

Andrew Royle, UK Commercial Director explains:
“The new finish is ideal for a multitude of applications including rustic farmhouse renovations or sleek contemporary developments. We are committed to developing products that offer our customers a variation of styles and functional options to ensure that they have the right products for each project.”

While two new square and radius morticed hinges complement the range by providing alternative options to match the customers’ aesthetic vision.

With the growing trend in the use of triple glazed doors, Securefold Ultra has now been tested to 100kg to accommodate project requirements.

As more projects look to create an indoor / outdoor experience, security is of a high priority. The range includes the Securefold Ultra system which gives the home an extra layer of protection with all the aesthetic and weather resistance benefits associated with modern design for outward opening exterior folding doors.

Securefold Ultra has enhanced security components certified to PAS24 and BS EN 1627 RC2 and accredited as Secured by Design hardware. These accreditations and standards mean the system meets the requirements to be classified as burglar resistant.

With three points of locking on every external door seam the robust hardware on the door prevents entry. A unique interlocking anti-tamper hinge makes it difficult for it to be forced out of position or dismantled.

Additional security components complement this feature, which include a specialist hinge security bolt and a locking screw mechanism that stops the hardware being disengaged from the door. The system’s multi point lock, featuring anti-snap and anti-bump cylinder, provides additional security on the swing door to withstand attack from the most determined intruder.

All components in the Securefold range undergo extensive cycle testing in accordance with EN1527 where it has achieved in excess of 100,000 cycles - if the set of doors are opened and closed twice a day the system would last over 137 years.
