Expert Technical Advice from Yale

When choosing new hardware to complement your door or window portfolio you want to be confident that it will meet agreed standards for safety, reliability and quality.

The Technical Service Team at Yale can provide expert advice and support on product specification, selection and testing, giving peace of mind that you’ve got the right product specification whatever the application.

Gareth Phillips, Technical Services Manager for Yale, said:
“We aim to offer attentive support to our customers and work very closely to help ensure they get their product specification right. We are on hand to provide our technical expertise from the start of the design, build and fabrication process, right through the testing phase to the final accreditation.
“We appreciate that product testing and certification is a big investment and we aim to help our customers to avoid inappropriate product selection and potential test failures creating confidence when it comes to the final BSI Kitemark testing.”

As the leading name in home security, Yale has the infrastructure in place to offer indicative testing on door and window hardware to a range of standards including PAS 24. As part of ASSA ABLOY, Yale has a United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) testing facility for windows and includes a dedicated door rig, which means it is independently audited and assessed.

At its test lab in Cheltenham, Yale is also able to offer indicative testing to all fenestration standards worldwide, along with endurance testing, static load testing and corrosion testing for window hardware.

Gareth adds: “We also offer factory fabrication health visits where we go into existing customers facilities to help with any hardware fabrication issues they may be facing. We work closely with the quality departments to identify any common problems which are being encountered so that they can be resolved before the products get out into the field and look to assist in fabrication methods to improve consistency and efficiency.”

Yale’s dedicated technical services team covers the whole of the UK. To find out how they can help your business, visit www.yaledws.co.uk or call 01902 366800.
