Porsches for every pocket at the CCA September Sale

Porsche fans will be spoilt for choice at Classic Car Auctions’ (CCA) September Sale where a total of 20 ‘everyman’ Porsches will go under the hammer on 15th September at the Warwickshire Event Centre.

Ranging from quality entry-level examples to deeper pocket purchases, the range of Porsches on offer includes limited editions, celebrity owned, replicas and iconic models from the 80s, 90s and 00s.

“Porsches are always a draw for buyers in any market thanks to their universal appeal,” says Gary Dunne, sales manager, CCA. “The diversity on offer in this sale gives a fantastic opportunity for petrolheads of all budgets, whether it be an entry level 928 or a truly exquisite, best of breed 911.”

Topping the Porsche line-up is a 1984 Porsche 911 3.2 Carrera Targa finished in classic Guards Red with a Black and White pin-striped velour interior. Accompanied by a detailed service history, original service book, manuals, old MoTs and Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, this original UK-supplied, right-hand drive 911 has covered 91,000 miles and will be offered at £28,000 to £32,000.

A rare 1988 Porsche 944 Turbo S Silver Rose which is one of just 77 UK, limited edition models with just one previous owner from new is also for sale. Presented in exceptional condition with its original burgundy ‘Studio' plaid cloth interior, it has covered just 56,000 miles and is guided at £28,000 to £32,000.

Offering buyers the experience of Porsche's legendary fifties racers, a stunning Porsche 550 Spyder recreation built by the well-established, Kent-based Banham Conversions with superb attention to detail and period accuracy is guided at £12,000 to £15,000.

Coming with unique celebrity provenance, a 1989 Porsche S4 automatic originally owned by actor Brian Hall, (Terry the Chef in Fawlty Towers), then by English restaurateur and television chef, Gary Rhodes OBE also joins the sale. Presented in Grand Prix White with a Midnight Blue leather interior piped in White and treated to £18,000 of maintenance, it will be offered with an estimate of £12,000 to £15,000.

One of the more unusual Porsches in the sale is a 1984 Porsche 928 S2 Polizei Homage, resprayed to resemble a German police car, complete with flashing lights, strobe grill lights, PA system and sirens, as well as uniforms and ‘P0L 17S’ number plate. The instantly recognisable car has featured in multiple magazines including Porsche Post, Porsche 928 The Essential Guide and even won Ultimate Porsche magazine’s Car of the Year Award 2017. It has been given a pre-sale estimated of £5,000 to £7,000.
