Locks, Alarms and Security rank high for Consumers Searching for Trades


Locks, alarms and security are among the top 10 services consumers search for according to Checkatrade, the leading online trade directory with 30,000 trade members and 1.5million consumer searches on its site every month.

The online platform, which is sponsoring The London Homebuilding & Renovating Show (21-23 September 2018 at ExCeL), is offering a new rapid response trade service called Checkatrade Now. 

The 24/7 on demand emergency service is currently being trialled in Hampshire before a national roll-out and will assist locks, alarms and security businesses with raising their profile, building their reputations and generating incremental work. Checkatrade Now will also assist the 12 million plus people who trust Checkatrade to help them find a reputable tradesperson.


Traders attending the upcoming event can save over 28 per cent on their monthly membership price when they sign up to Checkatrade.

Richard Harpin, CEO and founder of Homeserve, which owns Checkatrade, will be taking part in The London Homebuilding & Renovating Show on 24 September to talk to industry professionals about how Checkatrade can help them grow their businesses.
