Chiltern Dynamics' Acoustic Facility Completes Suite of Doorset Testing Services

Chiltern Dynamics, part of the BM TRADA Group, is attracting demand for multiple performance testing of doorsets, since it launched its purpose-built acoustic testing laboratory in August.

It now offers UKAS-accredited acoustic testing for timber, composite, steel, aluminium and PVCu doorsets, as well as doors seals, seeking to demonstrate sound insulation performance up to 65dB to BS EN ISO 10140.

The new laboratory, said Head of Mechanical Testing Paul Andrews, completes the comprehensive suite of testing and related services available from Chiltern Dynamics and Chiltern International Fire - all at the same location. 'In addition to sound insulation testing, we offer fire resistance, security, weather tightness, thermal performance and durability testing. Clients may now take a fully coordinated approach to testing which will be easier, faster and more cost efficient for them.
